Messy Ponytails

It's the worst of times and the best of times. The worst, because there seems to be no time for much of anything, but work, cook, eat, sleep. The best of times, because everyone is in the same boat, and no-one truly cares what we look like. Except maybe the client that sits in our chair...

Back in the day, 30 some odd years ago, rarely did you see a woman out and about without first making sure every hair was in place. It's a bit different in this world's time frame, than it was back then. Messy is in! "Fixed", not so much. Acknowledgment: I still love fixed. But I also like messy. Depends who is wearing what. *wink wink

I remember a visit to see our daughters, here in North Carolina, before we had made the move East. We dropped by their workplace to visit with co-workers and let them be introduced to the fabulous parents of the two girls that everyone loved.

Upon leaving, one of our girls told me that a co-worker had said, "Your mom certainly is ALL PUT TOGETHER." I took that as a compliment, but looking back and remembering that day, I'm fairly certain it was just a kind way of saying, "Geez, how long does it take her to fix that hair?"

Today's blog really has no rhyme or reason. Just acknowledgments. You're a busy person with many things that must be accomplished within a 24 hour period. If your hair is at least shoulder length, you can throw it back in a low pony, or messy mid-pony, and look great. If it's below shoulder length, you have a few more options that are just as quick and just as beautiful. And, I'm pretty sure you need no help in knowing what to do. So, I'm not going to belabor it.
